Singer and actor Kazuya Kamenashi and freelance announcer Minami Tanaka announced on their official websites Monday that they are getting married. They also said that Tanaka is pregnant with their first child.

“We will strive further as artists and as parents,” they said in their statement.

Kamenashi, 40, a former member of popular boy band Kat-tun, quit Starto Entertainment last year when the band was disbanded. Tanaka, 39, formerly an announcer at TBS, left the company in 2014 and started acting.

The two have appeared in a number of movies and TV dramas and co-starred in “Destiny,” a drama series broadcast on TV Asahi in 2024.
